We are seeking to appoint a Senior Database Manager to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting and providing critical input into high-impact research with the potential to benefit millions globally. The Jenner Institute Vaccine Trials (JVT) team conduct clinical trials in the UK and overseas. The clinical trials test the safety and efficacy of new vaccines against major diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, HIV and COVID-19.
You will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to processes, documentation and systems to better ensure trial participant safety, data integrity and continued regulatory compliance. You will implement clinical trial data management solution and manage clinical trial data. Represent the Data Management team at senior meetings and support and manage other data managers, taking overall responsibility for management of JVT trial data systems. You will write study validation and testing plans, data management plans and other supporting documentation such as eCRF completion guidelines.
It is essential that you hold a degree-level qualification involving a substantial element of computing, or equivalent skills from very extensive professional experience. You must be proficient in SQL and have professional experience working with information systems and managing complex datasets. It is essential that you have the ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
