The Department of Physics is looking to recruit an Outreach Administrator to work on the COMPOS Outreach program. This post is a fixed term for 2 years.
COMPOS is an expanding outreach programme run from the physics department which enrols about 1,000 students per year in Years 10-13 to take part in a year-long programme of weekly tutorials, assignments and webinars delivered online by a team of tutors.
The goal of the programme is to boost state school pupils’ attainment and confidence in physics and maths, thereby increasing uptake in STEM courses at university.
We require admin support to provide ongoing assistance with students and tutor queries, ongoing course administration, monitoring and reporting, schools outreach.
In this role you will answer correspondence to the compos inbox and maintain up to date record of all students enrolled in the programme. Assist with organising tutorial group allocations and monitoring that tutors correctly log attendance and assignment grades. Monitor and follow up with students showing low attendance or not submitting work and pass any safeguarding or data security concerns to the appropriate staff. Produce regular reports on key programme indicators and work with the academic coordinator to evaluate programme impact.
About You
The successful applicant would need to have administrative experience in an education institution. Familiarity with Canvas or another learning platform and experience with Salesforce CRM or similar databases. Excellent organisational skills, customer service and IT skills are also essential to this role. Experience with outreach and access programmes, reporting on Salesforce is desirable.
