An internal secondment will be considered. Requests for internal secondment should be discussed and pre-approved by the relevant line manager. 

We are seeking a grants/finance administrator to support administrative activities within CCG. The post holder will work within the team and work closely with Grants Manager, Programme Manager, Research and Innovation Office, collaborative partners, external consultants and wider University professional services. The role holder will provide support for, financial aspects of the grant, including procurement, processing invoices, expense claims, arranging travel, monitoring budgets, producing spend forecasts, and periodic finance reports and financial claims.

The post would be particularly appropriate to experienced finance administrators with extensive knowledge of university processes and a strong working knowledge of corporate finance systems i.e. Agresso or similar.

About the Research Centre

The Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) programme is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to support investment in sustainable energy and transport systems, addressing development priorities in the Global South. CCG provides research and global public goods to help countries develop economic strategies, plans, and policies that attract investment into low-carbon growth opportunities across multiple sectors, thereby supporting growth aspirations and better meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

About You

  • You should have experience in a financial role within the higher education sector or similar, and competency of providing support for finance and project management aspects of externally funded projects.
  • You should have experience with preparation of periodic grant claims and finance reporting.
  • Proficiency in using corporate financial management software and knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications
  • You should also have be an excellent communicator with experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
