We are seeking experienced Dental Therapists to join our team as Skills Educators or Senior Skills Educators. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in educating the next generation of dental care professionals. As part of our growing Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy team, you will support students in developing their clinical skills, professional confidence, and readiness for practice. We have several part-time opportunities available and welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for employment on a minimum of two days per week.
This role would suit Dental Therapists who are passionate about developing the future dental care workforce. You will contribute to a forward-thinking programme that prepares graduates to meet the changing and diverse needs of patients, services, and the wider profession.
With current registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Therapist and experience of contemporary dental therapy practice within the last 12 months, you should hold a Diploma or BSc in Dental Therapy (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate ongoing continuing professional development. Experience of teaching in clinical practice and/or higher education settings is also required.
For appointment as a Senior Skills Educator, applicants should hold, or be working towards, a Master's degree in a relevant subject. You should also have experience of planning, delivering, and assessing clinical teaching to support the development of students' dental skills and knowledge.
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Regular status checks may also be required, depending on your role.
