Permanent Whole-Time Post
UCC wishes to appoint an academic to the role of Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Social Work in the School of Applied Social Studies. Reporting to the Head of School, the postholder will provide leadership in research and research-led teaching within the Social Work Programme and the wider School of Applied Social Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in internationally impactful research through securing competitive research funding, supervising doctoral researchers and producing high-quality publications and contributing to wider dissemination activities. The post-holder will contribute to building research capacity across the School, including participation in European funding initiatives.
The appointee must have CORU registration as a Social Worker or eligibility to apply and secure CORU Social Work registration within six months of appointment.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €80,776 - €104,610 (Scale B) / €76,852 - €99,378 (Scale A).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
