Hybrid – UAL High Holborn/Home

Immigration compliance is a vital function in UAL's ability to welcome international students. As an Admissions Immigration Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of immigration compliance within UAL's admissions function, ensuring international applicants are assessed, processed, and confirmed in line with UK immigration requirements and sponsor guidance.

Working closely with the central Immigration Compliance Team, you'll help keep practice consistent across the applicant journey. You will oversee the assessment of applicant documentation, lead financial credibility checks, and ensure appropriate verification of qualifications, English language ability, immigration history, and applicant credibility.

You will support compliant CAS preparation, provide expert advice and training to colleagues, monitor changes in immigration legislation and sponsor guidance, and contribute to policy development, audit readiness, and continuous service improvement. This is a pivotal role that balances regulatory compliance with an excellent applicant experience, helping to safeguard the University's sponsor licence while supporting the recruitment of international students.

As the primary point of contact for immigration compliance matters within admissions, you'll advise and train colleagues across recruitment and academic teams and stay current by monitoring changes to immigration rules. There's also scope to support audits, produce compliance reporting, and manage complex or high-risk applicant cases, all while delivering a responsive, applicant-focused service.

About you
We're looking for someone with experience of higher education international admissions, with sound knowledge of UKVI sponsor requirements and applicant compliance processes.

Experience assessing complex international applicant documentation, including financial and immigration records, is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to explain compliance requirements clearly to a range of stakeholders.

The role suits someone comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and confident working collaboratively across admissions, compliance, and academic teams to maintain consistent, compliant practice.

To apply please click the 'Apply' button.

Important note to applicants: when submitting your application, please ensure your supporting statement evidences your experience in immigration compliance in Higher Education settings.

If you have any general questions or have accessibility needs, please contact PSOstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.

Closing date: 16 September 2026 at 23:55.
