The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences.
LSE’s Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 10,000 staff and student users.
The DevOps Lead will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the LFY Programme and associated.
initiatives, combining hands-on engineering expertise with leadership of a small team of DevOps and DataOps engineers working across projects and products.
Working within the newly established Engineering function, the role will collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering, Platforms, Networks, Security, Architecture and Delivery Leads to adopt existing operational and engineering standards into project and product delivery, while introducing modern DevOps practices where needed.
The postholder will act as a bridge between operational services and project/product delivery teams, helping ensure infrastructure, automation, deployment and support requirements are designed and delivered in a way that is scalable, secure, reliable and supportable. The role will provide additional technical leadership and coordination while the Engineering function evolves and matures.
