Research Services is part of the University Administration and Services (UAS) division and works in partnership with academic divisions, departments, and faculties. It has a broad remit to support the University’s researchers by providing expertise, strategic insight, research funding acquisition, contract negotiation, and innovation and engagement initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality PA and administrative support at the heart of a busy, collaborative and dynamic team.

I&E provides support for a wide range of Innovation and Engagement activities across the University, including engagement and partnerships with the public, private and third sectors, both national and international, enterprise and entrepreneurship, and the development of Oxford’s innovation ecosystem.  

About the Role  

You will provide PA support to the Director and Head of Strategic Engagement & Regional Partnerships within the I&E Directorate, helping them manage busy schedules and competing priorities. Your responsibilities will include diary and meeting management, coordinating travel and preparing meeting papers.

Alongside this, you will provide wider administrative support across the team; helping to organise meetings and events, responding to enquires and maintaining accurate records.

You will play an important part in the day-to-day effectiveness of the team, working with colleagues across the Directorate and the wider University.

About You 

You will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently, while maintaining a positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Highly organised and dependable, you will be confident working independently, taking ownership of your workload and using your initiative to make progress.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
