We’re looking for an experienced administrator or governance professional to join St Antony’s College as College Secretary.

Reporting to the Bursar (COO), you will provide high-level support for the College’s governance and committee processes. You will also coordinate regulatory compliance, helping ensure the College meets its responsibilities as a registered charity and UK public body.

About the role:

Working closely with Trustees, Fellows and senior colleagues, you will:

  • Organise key College committees, including preparing papers and accurate minutes
  • Advise committee chairs, monitor actions and maintain governance records
  • Support policy reviews and trustee matters
  • Coordinate the recruitment and induction of Governing Body Fellows
  • Act as the College’s Information Officer, managing Freedom of Information requests
  • Coordinate regulatory returns and maintain relevant governance information
  • Draft consultancy agreements on behalf of the Bursar

You will have:

  • Significant relevant administrative experience, including supporting senior colleagues or committees
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience preparing committee papers and minutes
  • Sound judgement and strong attention to detail
  • Awareness of legislation affecting UK public bodies, including Freedom of Information
  • Strong IT skills
  • Tact and discretion when handling confidential information
  • A proactive, collaborative and flexible approach
