The Role

Inspire digital confidence, develop digital capabilities and empower our community.

The University of Roehampton is seeking a creative Digital Academy Lead to establish and lead a new University-wide Digital Academy, supporting staff and students to thrive in an increasingly digital and AI-enabled world.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this exciting role will lead the development of programmes, learning resources, communities of practice and engagement activities that enhance digital capability, AI literacy and the effective use of technology across the University. A key focus will be supporting the University's New Futures employability agenda by helping students develop practical digital and AI skills that improve career readiness and future success.

You will work across student communities, academic schools and professional services teams to build confidence in the use of modern digital tools, promote innovation and ensure our staff and students can make the most of emerging technologies.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience designing and delivering learning, training or capability development programmes.
  • Experience delivering learning in a range of formats, including one-to-one and group sessions, in person and online, both live and on demand
  • A passion for digital innovation, AI literacy and technology adoption.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills with the ability to inspire diverse audiences.
  • Experience building communities, networks and partnerships.
  • The ability to translate complex digital concepts into practical and accessible learning experiences.
