IOE is UCL Faculty of Education and Society. The department of Psychology and Human Development (PHD) brings together staff with research and teaching interests that encompass psychological approaches to learning, development and teaching from early childhood to adulthood.
We are the only university department within the discipline in the UK devoted to work in developmental psychology, particularly as regards its application to education and other real-world settings.
Our psychology profile is distinctive, offering the largest coherent group of psychologists in the UK, working in the area of education and child and adolescent development. Our expertise in SEND informs both our teaching and our research.
In this post you will will support the teaching and assessment of students in the BSc Psychology with Education. They will also be expected to supervise undergraduate students.
This post is available until 30 September 2027 in the first instance.
You will have a Doctorate (complete or near to completion) in education, psychology or closely related area.
You will also have evidence of teaching and research specialisms in education, psychology or closely related area and the willingness to teach effectively at the Higher Education level, demonstrated through experience and knowledge of a range of teaching approaches appropriate for HE student learning needs, and including development of electronic teaching resources
