We are seeking a motivated and well-organised Programme Administrator to join the core operational team at the Laboratory for AI Security Research (LASR). LASR is a flagship national programme operating across academia, government, and industry.
Working in a fast-moving environment, you will play a central role in coordinating the programme’s research operations, events, and day-to-day administrative workflows.
Reporting to the LASR Operations Manager, you will cover a broad operational portfolio. This includes providing executive support to the Academic Directors, servicing committee meetings, overseeing project budgets, and leading the end-to-end delivery of workshops and conferences. You will also lead on DPhil student administration and admissions, maintaining a functional reporting link to the Mathematical Institute to draw on specialist academic administration support while remaining fully embedded within the core LASR team.
About you
You will bring substantial administrative experience—ideally within higher education—and a track record of supporting complex operations or senior colleagues. Meticulous and self-motivated, you thrive in roles that require balancing a varied workload with autonomy and strong attention to detail. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams, liaise effectively with external partners, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This position is full-time and based in Oxford (split between the Tinsley Building and the Andrew Wiles Building).

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 16th October. Interviews will be held on 5th November.
