We are seeking to appoint two highly motivated Strategic Partnerships Project Managers to join the MPLS Divisional Office, and help establish a new Strategic Partnerships Project Management function focussed on developing and delivering high-value collaborations with industry.

This is a rare opportunity to join a new team at the point of creation and help shape how strategic partnerships are developed, negotiated and delivered across one of the world's leading research-intensive universities.

One of the roles will spend 50% of their time working directly with the newly created British Open-ended Learning and Discovery (BOLD) Lab, a major new UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funded initiative that will establish a world-leading AI research laboratory at the University of Oxford.

You will lead a portfolio of strategically important partnership projects, working with academic leaders, industry partners and professional services colleagues to progress opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation, contract signature and into delivery. You will provide the project leadership needed to maintain momentum, navigate complexity and deliver successful outcomes, while enabling academic colleagues to focus on scientific leadership.

You will have excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills, together with the ability to operate confidently across organisational boundaries and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience of academic–industry collaboration, research partnerships or innovation programmes would be advantageous.

These positions are offered full-time (applications for 0.8 FTE will be considered) on a fixed-term contract basis:
  • The MPLS only position is available until 31 July 2031.
  • The MPLS and BOLD Lab position is available until 31 December 2028 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension subject to funding renewal.

First Interviews are expected to be held w/c 19th October and second stage interviews w/c 26 October
