The University of Southampton is a world-leading, research-intensive university, recognised globally for excellence, innovation and enterprise. Transnational Education (TNE) is central to our international ambitions and we are seeking an organised and collaborative Project Manager to help coordinate the University’s TNE Growth Programme. This is an opportunity to contribute to strategically important international education partnerships and new models of global delivery.

Working as part of a lean, agile team, you will work closely with the Director of TNE and a broad reach of Faculties and Professional Services. You will develop and maintain programme plans, monitor progress against milestones, coordinate activity across multiple workstreams, and maintain clear risk, assurance and dependency logs. You will support effective governance through high-quality papers and reports, coordinate programme boards, steering groups and partner workshops, and ensure agreed actions and improvements are followed through. You will also undertake research and horizon scanning, contribute to business cases and senior briefings, coordinate due diligence activity, and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, international partners, consultants and regulatory bodies.

You will bring practical project or programme management experience, gained through substantial work experience and/or relevant training or qualifications. You will be able to translate plans into action, manage competing priorities and deadlines, and maintain accuracy across complex and interdependent activity. Clear communication, strong collaboration skills and the confidence to work with limited supervision in a matrix environment are essential, together with cross-cultural awareness. Knowledge of international higher education or TNE would be an advantage.
