ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
We are looking for a Website and Digital Manager to lead the development and performance of our corporate website (londonmet.ac.uk) and wider digital presence. Working within the Marketing and Communications team, you will play a key role in attracting and engaging prospective students.
You will ensure the website delivers an excellent user experience, supports student recruitment and reflects the University’s brand through high-quality digital content. Working with colleagues across the University, you will help deliver engaging digital activity and campaigns.
You will lead a small team and coordinate contributors across the organisation, overseeing the strategic development of the website to ensure it remains effective, up to date and aligned with institutional goals.
Using data and insights, you will monitor performance, optimise content and user journeys, report on results, and lead SEO activity to improve visibility and organic traffic.
As the main contact for website support, you will provide guidance, training and best-practice advice, while ensuring compliance with accessibility, data protection and content governance requirements.
You will also manage digital projects, working with the IT Department and external suppliers to deliver improvements and support evolving user and business needs.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone with significant experience managing websites and digital projects, ideally within a large organisation.
While hands-on coding is not required, an understanding of front-end web technologies and website development principles would be beneficial.
You should be confident using data and analytics to evaluate performance and support decision-making. A strong understanding of SEO, user experience (UX) and digital content best practice is essential.
You will have excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing competing priorities, leading teams and working with external partners.
A sound understanding of digital accessibility, data protection and relevant regulations is essential, along with a commitment to creating inclusive, user-focused digital experiences.
