Postdoctoral Research Associate

About the Role
This role is for a talented clinical researcher to join a dental research team focused on innovative applications of healthcare data to improve patient care. Funded by a research grant, the post brings together professionals from QMUL Institute of Dentistry, The Royal London Hospital, and Barts Health NHS Trust. Key responsibilities include: (1) developing clinical dental datasets across specialties, linking clinical care and research; (2) supporting the development of predictive models for dental disease outcomes using structured and unstructured electronic health records; and (3) leading and supporting delivery of the research elements of the digital grant. The appointee will undertake clinical research and contribute to research programmes aligned with the priorities of the Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR). They will also promote research, enhance the profile of Barts Life Sciences, and provide advice, documentation, and training in data analysis for colleagues.

About You
The applicant is expected to have a BDS or equivalent registerable primary Dental Qualification, and a higher research degree (PhD) or within 12 months from defence, plus equivalent expertise experience in dental science and clinical research, or a relevant discipline. The applicant should be able to demonstrate good record experience in clinical research and dental or health science research. Ability to rapidly develop strong working relationships and gain the confidence is a must. Willingness to work flexibly in order to achieve the demands of the research programme.
