The University is an established international institution, educating students from across the UK and around the world, as well as contributing significantly to the cultural and economic life of Buckingham and the surrounding area.
Buckingham has a history of innovation. From the pioneering accelerated degree model which saves students time and money, to a demonstrated history of inspiring and empowering graduates to achieve the extraordinary with the mantra of students being a name, never a number - the University is looking to the future as it enters its second half century. The University of Buckingham remains proudly independent, committed to small group teaching, academic freedom and the belief that higher education works best when students are known, challenged, and supported as individuals.
The role
As our Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll help shape how the University connects with its audiences through social media.
Working as part of the Digital team and supporting the Digital Experience Manager, you’ll help deliver the University’s social media marketing strategy - creating engaging, creative and purposeful content that reaches prospective students and supports them throughout their journey with us.
You’ll play a hands-on role in planning and delivering both organic and paid social media activity, using audience insight, creativity and performance data to make our campaigns more effective. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with new approaches, understand what works, and continually improve the way we use social media to achieve our objectives.
Your work will primarily support student recruitment, while also helping us engage current students, staff, academics, alumni, our local community and the wider public. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to turn ideas, stories and priorities into compelling digital content and campaigns.
This is a role for someone who combines creative thinking with a data-driven approach. You’ll be comfortable developing content for different social platforms, contributing to campaigns from planning through to evaluation, and using insight and performance metrics to inform what you do next.
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable professional experience of planning, creating and delivering organic and paid social media campaigns, ideally gained within a digital marketing environment. You’ll have experience creating engaging content for social platforms, using audience insight and performance data to inform activity, and evaluating and optimising campaigns to achieve marketing objectives.
