Scottish Research Cultures Collaboration Manager

Type of Contract: Fixed Term 12 months

As the Scottish Research Cultures Collaboration Manager, you will lead and coordinate collaborative activity to support positive research cultures across Scotland’s higher education sector. Hosted by the University of Aberdeen on behalf of the Scottish sector, you will work with institutions, networks, funders and other stakeholders to identify shared priorities and enable collective responses to the changing research cultures landscape.

You will support the embedding of research cultures across the sector by facilitating cross-institutional collaboration, developing and sharing resources and practice, identifying emerging opportunities, and enabling Scotland to contribute to and influence national and UK-wide initiatives. You will oversee the effective planning, evaluation and reporting of the programme, using evidence and feedback to demonstrate progress and inform future priorities.

You will have substantial experience of leading or coordinating complex, multi-partner programmes, preferably within higher education or the research sector. You will be able to build trusted relationships across diverse organisations, facilitate collaboration without formal authority, and translate shared priorities into deliverable activity. You will bring a strong understanding of the UK research landscape, excellent communication and influencing skills, and experience of using evidence and evaluation to shape future work.

This is a unique opportunity to lead an established national collaboration at an important stage in its development, building on strong sector engagement while shaping its future priorities and impact.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8, £59,966.00 - £61,759.00 per annum,  with placement according to qualifications and experience. The post is fixed term for 12 months and can be offered as a secondment opportunity.
