About the Directorate
Led by the Director and Dean, the IOE Directorate is the central administrative office for the IOE and acts as point of contact for senior central UCL officers, other faculties of UCL and external organisations. Directorate is responsible for setting, managing and monitoring overall strategic direction and operational plans for the IOE. The executive team comprises the following staff:
Directorate works closely with the six Heads of Department, Vice-Deans and the leads for professional services departments within IOE, including research services, business and enterprise, and marketing and communications.
About the role
As an Events Officer you will be responsible for the planning, project management and logistical delivery of our student recruitment events, staff and faculty-level public events, ad-hoc events and will support the coordination of the faculty’s contribution to graduation ceremonies and international engagement activities. The role is fast-paced and requires a high-level of organisation, coordination, flexibility and output with 2-3 days on campus (or as required) working with multiple teams to effectively prepare and deliver events. You will work alongside another grade 6 Events Officer in the team to deliver the annual faculty events calendar.

About you
You will have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience, preferably in a relevant subject such as event management, hospitality, business management and/or marketing and communications. Strong experience of designing, creating, planning and managing in person large-scale events and/or student recruitment events from start to finish. Experience of using technology to deliver events remotely/virtually, including good knowledge of the merits of a range of different systems and proficiency at using them.
