We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
Do you have strategic experience in student recruitment, outreach or marketing, and a track record of delivering impactful events and engagement activities for UK and international audiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) at an important point in the development of our marketing and student recruitment activity, helping to showcase our education, research and innovation to prospective students in the UK and internationally.
As Student Recruitment & Outreach Manager, you will lead the Faculty-wide strategy and delivery of outreach and student recruitment activity. Managing a small team, you will develop and deliver initiatives that inspire prospective students, support widening participation objectives, and maximise student recruitment and conversion across the Faculty's diverse portfolio of programmes.
Working closely with academic colleagues, technicians and professional services teams, you will coordinate the Faculty's engagement with schools, colleges and key educational partners, oversee ambassador activity, and evaluate the impact of recruitment and outreach campaigns.
You will also act as the Faculty lead for international student recruitment, collaborating with Newcastle Global (International Office), regional recruitment teams and academic colleagues to support conversion activity, international partnerships and overseas recruitment opportunities.
We're looking for a proactive and collaborative leader with experience of managing student recruitment, outreach and/or marketing activity, excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for helping students realise their potential.
This appointment is full-time (37 hours per week) and offered on a fixed-term basis (2 years) with an immediate starting date.
To apply, please complete an online application form and upload a CV and covering letter. Please structure your covering letter as a supporting statement of no more than two sides. Please outline how you meet or exceed the requirements for the role (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button).
For an informal chat about the role, please contact Anna Brown, Head of Marketing and Communications (SAgE Faculty) on anna.brown2@ncl.ac.uk.
