About the role
This is an exciting role within Queen Mary University of London’s Faculty of Science and Engineering.

You will develop and deliver impactful communications to help the Faculty of Science and Engineering’s continued goal of being recognised as a leader in best-in-class research and innovation. You will identify opportunities to showcase the world-leading research taking place across the Faculty and you will work with researchers and other internal and external stakeholders to develop creative and innovative ways to communicate research and build the reputation of the Faculty and the University more widely.

You are a key coordinating point between the Faculty and the range of communication services available in the External Relations Directorate. Working with the central communications teams, you will ensure that the Faculty is represented in university-wide communications and marketing services and you will work support internal communications to colleagues within the Faculty.

This role is part of the External Relations Directorate, which is responsible for the University’s external activities, including communications and marketing, student recruitment and admissions, international affairs, and alumni relations and development. Specifically, this role sits within the Communications team.

About You
You are a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You have experience of developing and delivering impactful communication activities across a range of mediums, including stories about research. You have experience working on or a keen interest in science. You are able to manage a number of stories and stakeholders at a time, work to tight deadlines and have excellent relationship building skills.
