The role
The International Officer for Middle East and Africa will be responsible for promoting the University of Surrey to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students across the Middle East, Africa, and wider region as required. The role involves establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as agents, school counsellors, and other partners, to effectively raise the University’s profile and achieve ambitious growth targets.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our exciting and newly formed team. Applicants should have excellent communication and customer service skills with experience of giving presentations, running events, and strong IT skills (including use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). The successful candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and a strong problem solver with skills in planning, organisation and creative thinking.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of the International Student Journey, to offer advice and support on documents needed for application processes, UKVI processes, ATAS, CAS, etc. Extensive travel/weekend/evening working will be required as directed by the International Recruitment Manager and therefore applicants must hold a valid passport and be able to travel across the Middle East and Africa.
