We’re not trying to fit in with the higher education status quo. We’re challenging it. We’re doing things differently – because our students, our staff, and our world need us to.
So this is an exciting moment to join us. We’re boldly reimagining what a university can be: a place rooted in social mobility, a community where difference is celebrated, and an institution that empowers people to become more than they thought possible.
We invite applications for a 1FTE Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to join our expanding Occupational Therapy team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute our BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programmes. You will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the programmes and helping shape the future of occupational therapy education at Buckinghamshire New University.
The successful candidate will work with academic colleagues and a wide range of practice partners to design, develop and deliver high-quality clinical and theoretical teaching that promotes student engagement, achievement and an outstanding learning experience. You will contribute to module leadership and delivery, assessment and feedback, personal tutoring, simulation-based learning, curriculum development, programme enhancement and quality assurance, ensuring students are well prepared for contemporary occupational therapy practice.
The role includes supporting the development, coordination and quality assurance of practice placements, working closely with employers, apprenticeship partners and practice educators to develop and maintain high-quality placement opportunities across a range of health, social care, education, voluntary and independent sector settings.
Applicants should have current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist, together with up-to-date knowledge of contemporary occupational therapy practice.
