Salary on appointment will be £48,822 per annum, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum.
UEA is seeking to appoint a specialist in the study of global media industries to lead undergraduate teaching for UEA across BA Internet and New Media, one of three degrees on offer at CUCN-UEA Digital Creativity Institute in Nanjing, China.
The postholder may be from an industry or academic background, but they will hold a relevant academic qualification at least at Master's level.
You will have expertise in the structure and operations of the media industries, and how digitalization continues to transform global media production, distribution and audience consumption. The ability to teach practical modules in creative practice across media, film and video production would also be desirable.
The postholder will initially lead the teaching and delivery of two introductory modules:
You will be capable of inspiring students to understand the media industries and to gain skills and knowledge that will underpin successful careers in the contemporary global creative industries.
This full-time role is available from 4 January 2027 for a fixed term period of 3 years and will be based in Nanjing, China.
