The University are looking for a Research Assistant who will contribute to the GKEF-funded project Media Literacy in Practice: Evidence-Based Approaches to Countering Misinformation, led by Professor Anja Neundorf at the University of Glasgow and delivered in partnership with Shout Out UK and academic collaborators.
The project translates experimental research comparing different modes of media literacy training into practical guidance for organisations seeking to strengthen citizens’ resilience to misinformation. Its principal outputs include a digital practitioner toolkit, a national implementation summit, post-summit webinars and implementation support, and evidence of organisational engagement and uptake.
Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator and in collaboration with the wider project team, the successful candidate will support the coordination and delivery of the project. They will contribute particularly to toolkit development, stakeholder mapping and engagement, organisation of the national summit and follow-up activities, preparation of accessible dissemination materials, and monitoring and documentation of project outcomes and impact.
This post is part-time (10.5 hours per week) and offered on a fixed term basis until 4th June 2027 in the first instance. Attendance in London for the national implementation summit (scheduled in April or May 2027) is required.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Professor Anja Neundorf on Anja.Neundorf@glasgow.ac.uk
