The Department of Pharmacy in the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy is seeking a Lecturer in Clinical Practice for a permanent, part-time post (0.5 FTE) in the Postgraduate Advanced Clinical Education (PACE) team. You will design, deliver and assess high-quality postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, including prescribing, the PACE MSc, advanced clinical practice and MPharm provision. You will contribute to simulation, student support, workplace-based learning, module administration, quality assurance and the development of new teaching initiatives.
You will be a registered nurse, allied health professional or pharmacist, annotated as an independent prescriber, with current clinical practice in a relevant discipline. You will bring excellent communication, organisation and collaborative working skills, together with the ability to teach healthcare professionals and meet assessment and feedback deadlines. Teaching is mainly in person on campus between 9am and 6pm within the agreed part-time working pattern; scheduled activity normally includes Wednesday preparation for Advanced History Taking and Thursday prescribing teaching or assessment. Occasional outreach or recruitment activity may take place outside typical hours.
Please note: due to business requirements, the successful candidate will be expected to teach on campus on a Wednesday and Thursday.
