As a member of our academic team, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding student experience through innovative, inclusive and flexible approaches to learning and teaching. You will develop and deliver high-quality learning materials across a range of modules, ensuring that employability, professional development and real-world learning are embedded throughout the curriculum.
You will teach and facilitate learning across undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and post-experience programmes, contributing to assessment, feedback and the ongoing development of modules and programmes.
This role is a full-time position of 37 hours a week, however we would welcome applications from candidates who wish to be considered for a job share. The role is required on a full -time basis therefore a job share could only be offered should a suitable arrangement be available with the days and/or hours of work to be agreed on appointment. Please indicate in your application your preference of days and/or hours you would be available to work.

About you
We are looking for a healthcare professional who is passionate about education and supporting students to achieve their full potential. Whether you are at an early stage of your professional career, an experienced practitioner, or considering a move from clinical practice into higher education, we welcome applications from professionals across a range of healthcare disciplines and areas of practice.
You will hold a good Honours degree, relevant subject-specific qualifications and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will ideally hold Fellowship of Advance HE and a PhD, or equivalent professional achievement, or be willing to work towards these qualifications within an agreed timeframe.
You will have knowledge or experience of higher education, including quality assurance and validation, and the ability to use a range of innovative teaching approaches to inspire and engage diverse learners.
The role may involve travel between University sites and, occasionally, overseas travel for teaching or research, as well as some evening and occasional weekend teaching. You will therefore be comfortable working flexibly to meet the needs of our students and the wider University community.

The offered salary for this role is less than the going rate for the occupation and the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£41,700 per annum, as of 22nd July 2025).
