About the role
This is a really exciting opportunity to join the University of Sussex as we open our first Unitemps Branch on campus in early 2027.
Our Unitemps branch will provide job opportunities for students through temporary recruitment within University departments, alongside roles with external employers throughout the local area. As Branch Manager you will lead the launch, operation and growth of the branch.
The Branch Manager will develop a business plan to identify new internal business opportunities, alongside building strong relationships with local employers. In addition, the Branch Manager will lead, motivate and develop the Unitemps team.
The Unitemps team will work closely with stakeholders across the University to deliver a cohesive recruitment offering to students. Key stakeholders include Careers, HR, Student Recruitment, Widening Participation and Faculty Operations.
This role will be predominantly campus based, with the Branch open 5 days a week, alongside opening for key University events such as Open Days and Applicant Visit Days.
About you
You will be an experienced recruiter, with experience of achieving recruitment sales targets and the ability to identify new sales and marketing opportunities.
You will understand the local recruitment market and have business development experience at a senior level.
Alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be an effective manager who can lead a team operating in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
