We are looking for an experienced and user-focused Digital Experience Manager to lead the strategic development of the University's digital channels, with the website at its heart. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will lead our Digital Team across web, content, marketing and analytics, making sure everything we do online puts prospective students, and our wider audiences, first.
This is a role with real scope and influence. You will set the vision and priorities for the University's Digital Marketing Experience Roadmap and create a joined-up experience across every touchpoint that attracts, engages and converts learners. You will work closely with colleagues in Marketing, IT Services, Admissions and Academic Compliance, and with staff at every level, to raise digital marketing standards across the University.
What you will be doing
About you
You will bring a proven track record of developing and delivering digital strategy, along with line management experience and a genuine commitment to putting users first. You will have hands-on experience across digital content and campaigns, UX research and testing, SEO, conversion rate optimisation, social media, CRM and email marketing. You will also have Google Analytics certification and be confident with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress or other CMSs, and HTML/CSS.
You will prioritise ruthlessly, make timely decisions based on data, and communicate clearly and persuasively with stakeholders up to Vice Chancellor level. It would be a bonus if you have experience of agile project management or web development (WordPress, PHP, Git).
If you are ready to shape the digital experience of a distinctive university and lead a talented team, we would love to hear from you.
We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they think they can’t tick every box, but we are invested in our people and their development, so we encourage you to apply if you believe you have the majority of the skills and experience required and are keen to develop further!
The closing date for applications is 13.11.2026 and it is anticipated that interviews will be held on week commencing 16.11.2026.
Please note: if successful, any offer is subject to standard checks, including qualifications, eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basis and DBS (if applicable)
