The University of Warwick is seeking a Marketing Officer to join the Marketing and Student Recruitment team within the Chief Communications Officer’s Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a role that offers real variety, visibility and impact. As Marketing Officer, you will work closely with academic departments across the Faculty of Social Sciences to support student recruitment for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, helping to shape campaigns and activity that make a genuine difference.

What makes this role especially appealing is the balance of independence and support. You will have the chance to build strong relationships, manage your own portfolio and influence recruitment marketing activity, while also being part of a wider Marketing and Communications team with expert support across insight, CRM, web, creative, brand and communications.

The role also line manages a junior marketing colleague, so you should have experience of managing, supervising or developing people, including formal line management or comparable experience gained through team leadership, project management, mentoring or coaching responsibilities.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract until May 2027.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident, with a strong grounding in professional marketing or communications. You will enjoy working with people, building positive relationships and acting as a trusted contact for colleagues across a range of departments.

You will be a strong communicator, able to take complex information and turn it into clear, engaging marketing that connects with different audiences. You will also be comfortable managing a busy and varied workload, keeping projects on track and delivering work to a high standard.

Most importantly, you will bring a collaborative and proactive approach. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should keen to learn, happy to work with others and ready to contribute ideas. This role would suit a capable marketer who enjoys stakeholder management, values teamwork and wants to play an important part in supporting student recruitment.
