Are you a librarian with a passion for teaching and a desire to join a dynamic team committed to developing the information and digital literacies of students across all academic disciplines? Libraries, Research and Learning Resources (LRLR) is looking for a librarian to join its Teaching and Learning Support Team for a fixed term of 6 months starting 1st February 2017. The successful applicant will deliver specialist library services in support of teaching and learning at the University of Nottingham, including teaching information skills and digital literacies, engaging in widening participation, social responsibility and community building initiatives, and contributing to a range of innovative projects.
As part of the LRLR Teaching and Learning Support Team, the role holder will provide services to academics in support of the University's teaching and learning strategy and teaching transformation activities, working in collaboration with library staff and learning technologists across the Department, as well as in partnership with University colleagues supporting teaching and learning. The Librarian (Teaching and Learning Support) will also participate in development projects in order to make a demonstrable contribution to LRLR service development as a whole.
Essential requirements include a library and information studies qualification, experience of delivering information skills sessions, knowledge of teaching pedagogies and styles, demonstrable experience of working with students and academics in HE to promote and support information skills development, and an enthusiastic and proactive 'can do' approach.
