Come and join UWL Library Services’ Resources & Technology team at an exciting time in our history as we seek to capitalise on the opening of our Paul Hamlyn Library, our increased NSS score, and the associated investment in our collections, services and student experience. Following an internal promotion we now have a vacancy to join the team as a Resources Assistant.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective acquisitions and collection management processes for library resources, focusing on print and e-books, print subscriptions, document delivery services and physical media.  They will also assist in different areas of the Resources & Technology team as required.

Computer-literate applicants will have previous library or publishing experience in acquisitions or subscriptions, experience of using a library management system and be able to demonstrate an understanding of HE library resources. They will have a propensity for accuracy, lateral thinking and an eye for detail, able to work to deadlines. They will demonstrate a good customer service and responsive attitude along with an ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

The post is based at Ealing, although travel between our other campuses may be required.

Library Services has implemented an annualised hours working framework to ensure maximum flexibility for individual staff and the University.

Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
