Band 500 - Starting salary is normally in the range £21,666 to £23,276. With potential progression once in post to £26,946 a year.
We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and experienced research support professional with a strong commitment to customer service to support the delivery of ambitious targets for research funding capture in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham. You will be joining a vibrant team, in a role providing a key part of the research support dedicated to the College and the wider infrastructure for research support across the University of Birmingham led by Research and Innovation Services.
The Research Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support in relation to the identification and publicising of relevant research funding opportunities and will assist the College R&KT Committee and the Research Support Office to meet their strategic and functional objectives in relation to data management and record keeping, quality assurance and events management.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of research in an area relevant to the College. It is expected that applicants will: have excellent communication skills; be proficient in the use of all core Microsoft Office products; possess strong problem solving skills; display a commitment to the delivery of exceptional customer service and a broad understanding of how research is undertaken in the Life Sciences.
