City seeks to recruit a Junior Service Desk Analyst to join it's dynamic IT Service Desk Team as part of it's Information Services Department.
The Junior Service Desk Analyst will be responsible for level 1 and 2 software and hardware support, predominately via telephone, face to face at service points, via email or via the web. The post holder will troubleshoot and restore routine technical service and equipment problems by analysing, identifying and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures. The majority of resolutions are completed “remotely”. The Junior Service Desk Analyst will act as first point of contact for students, academics and staff, dealing with their IT related requests or incidents.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and present a good level of analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A flexible approach to work and challenges is required as well as being familiar with desktop software, e.g. MS Office packages. Good customer service skills are expected, along with the ability to build effective relationships with all customers.
