Grade 3a (Min: £26,614 - Mid: £31,310pa) The post will be recruited to at the minimum point of the band; more may be available for an exceptional candidate.
35 hours per week
The post involves working with both internal departments (ensuring the quality of the surgical courses run by the RCS both at the college and regionally are maintained and working with other teams and departments within the college to develop quality assurance strategies on an ad hoc basis based on the needs of the college) and externally (conducting monitoring and evaluation of all externally accredited courses, centres and fellowships). The post holder will take the lead both internal and external portfolios, managing the monitoring of over 50 internal courses, 20 externally accredited courses, 5 externally accredited centres and a number of fellowships.
As the post holder you will be responsible for leading on the implementation of the QA monitoring and evaluation strategy, data collection and reporting significant findings and communicating effectively to different audiences. Furthermore you will oversee the implementation and delivery of multiple evaluations at any given time through recognised project management techniques, to ensure that all requirements and outputs are achieved.
Working as part of a small and motivated team you will need to have come from a research background and be an organised and meticulous administrator with strong experience in working with statistics/data analysis. You will be expected to show initiative and will need to be a confident networker, with excellent written and communication skills as well as being highly IT literate.
