We invite strategic and experienced Academic leader to join us and to provide academic leadership, development and operational management of the Department of Media and Communications. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, the Chair will work collaboratively with Associate Deans, Research Centre Directors, other Department Chairs and University teams to develop and implement strategies aligned with the University’s strategic direction to be a world class university in science, technology and innovation.

The Professorial position will be an ongoing position and the role of Department Chair is for a period of five years, which will be annually reviewed and renewed after five years based upon satisfactory performance.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have a national or international reputation as a leader in the broad field of media and communications demonstrated by research publications, research income and research impact.
Your ability to both lead and be an effective team contributor to the development and management of courses in media and communications and inspire to deliver innovative curriculum and pedagogy in a multi-discipline setting will also be key to success in this role.
