Access, Outreach and Almuni Administrator (Fixed Term)

The Faculty of Classics is looking for a flexible administrator to join our small, busy team to play a vital role in implementing and managing all operational aspects of the Faculty's Access & Outreach programme and overseeing a range of alumni events. The role holder will be an essential member of the senior administrative team which ensures the efficient and harmonious running of the Faculty of Classics. The role will be responsible for implementing all operational aspects of the Faculty's Access & Outreach programme and for overseeing a range of alumni events throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, have strong organisational skills and good interpersonal and communication skills. You will be educated to degree level, with experience of web development and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience of working in a busy office environment and a Higher Education establishment is desirable.

The Faculty of Classics is a leading teaching and research institution in the University of Cambridge, comprising more than 60 members of staff, about 280 undergraduate and about 80 postgraduate students.  The Faculty is one of the largest and most successful Classics institutions in the UK and in order to support and develop a lively and successful community it is essential to have a dedicated member of staff whose role is to focus on continuing to attract the best students and ensuring the best possible relationship with our alumni and donors. 

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2019 in the first instance.
