Lecturer - Transition and Learning support

Please note this post is part time, 14.8 hours per week.

As part of a University which has recently received a Gold TEF rating, the School of Pharmacy is committed to providing excellence in supporting our students in terms of engagement, teaching and learning. We are seeking a candidate to support our students as they transition into Higher Education from a variety of learning environments by providing both bespoke individual and group support, particularly in chemistry and mathematics.

Candidates will:

  • Have experience of teaching in School, FE, HEI or similar.
  • Be an excellent communicator who will complement the School’s existing teaching.
  • Will work closely with other academics to enhance student experience, engagement and academic success.
  • Enable student to develop a sense of professionalism and confidence.

The position is only available on a part time basis and would be suitable for those wishing to maintain an independent career whist developing a teaching profile. The position is available on a Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice role description, but the development of a research profile will be encouraged, and transition to a Teaching and Research profile may be possible at a later date if desired.
