Business Analyst (Student Numbers)

We are seeking a Business Analyst with an understanding of, or an interest in current issues in Higher Education. You will join our busy Planning and Business Intelligence Office to work in tandem with a job share partner helping to provide seamless support for all aspects of student numbers analysis and reporting and acting as a key interface and authority on:

  • Provision of accurate and timely student numbers and student load information for University wide reporting
  • Approval and monitoring of student intake targets
  • Student numbers forecasting for strategic modelling and financial planning, including contributing to a new project to enhance student numbers reporting
  • Providing advice and support through admissions and the clearing process

Working with the job share partner you will ensure that the student numbers model is fully documented and knowledge in relation to your work is shared across the Planning and Business Intelligence (BI) Office. You will work as part of the team supporting the submission of high quality and accurate statutory data, and play a role in interpreting and using information from a wide range of sources in order to inform strategy and decision making. You will draw on your strong communication skills to establish excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the University.

You should have an honours degree or equivalent level qualification. Substantial, relevant administrative experience, together with experience of data organisation, management and interrogation and the creation of queries and reports are also essential.

The position is part of a job share post and is being offered at 14.4 hours per week (0.4 FTE). Please refer to the advertised jobpack for further information.
