The University of Manchester invites applications for a Fixed term Lectureship (teaching focused) in Medieval History. You will have research interests in the field of Medieval history and will be able to teach Medieval history at all levels.

You will contribute to established undergraduate survey and Masters courses. You will have research and teaching interests focused on Medieval history. Level 1 (first-year undergraduate) teaching will include contributing to the core course, ‘History in Practice’, and ‘The Making of Europe, 400-1500’. At Level 2, you will act as course unit director and teach on ‘From Catastrophe to Crusade: Europe in the Aftermath of the Vikings’. You will supervise Level 2 Long Essays and Level 3 Dissertations. At MA level, you will join the teaching teams on core and optional courses for the MA in History and in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. You may also have the opportunity to supervise MA dissertations.
