The role of the Quality Officer is to assist with the monitoring, management and enhancement of Academic Quality at ICMP. This role also involves the production, management and analysis of the data needed to effectively manage academic quality, ensuring that ICMP as a whole meets all legal, contractual internal and external reporting obligations in an efficient and timely manner. This includes working closely with the Quality Manager and the Data Manager on a variety of quality and data related projects and activities.

QAE Responsibilities

  • Work with the Quality Manager and wider staff team to develop, monitor and review ICMP’s academic policies and practices to ensure effective Quality Assurance and Enhancement.
  • Work with the Dean of Academic Studies and other relevant managers to assist in implementing and monitoring ICMP’s Quality Process and Quality Assurance Structure.
  • Ensure that academic quality procedures are fit for purpose, in line with external regulator and Awarding Body requirements and deliver change in line with ICMP’s Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with the QAA Quality Code for Higher Education.
  • Ensure each ICMP programme operates within the parameters of its Awarding Body’s Academic Framework.
  • Oversee the management of all student appeals and complaints in line with ICMP’s and the relevant Awarding Body’s approved policies and procedures.
  • Service the Quality Standing Committee and Learning Teaching and Assessment Committee.
  • Work to ensure ICMP staff are informed of and engaged with best practice Higher Education QAE activities.
  • Support Student Voice activities and mechanisms at ICMP.
  • Generating complex data queries, retrievals and analysis in accordance with business intelligence needs on both a regular and an ad-hoc basis, providing data reports to all.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of any and all children and vulnerable adults with whom contact is made.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
