Service Manager (ahs)

University of Bath - Computing Services

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in Service Support and IT relationship management to join the University of Bath's Department of Computing Services to focus on support for the University’s Accommodation, Hospitality and Security services (ahs).

Your role will be responsible for the relationship with the ahs teams, under the management of the Assistant Director (User Services) and with guidance from a specific ahs Systems User Group to assist with appropriate technical and business prioritisation. You will also be responsible for appropriate liaison with the appropriate technology based teams in Computing Services.

Following appropriate project and service management methods, you will help develop existing and future technical services for ahs. You will provide a suite of customer driven metrics and use management information to inform and drive further service and system improvement.

You will have and maintain an in-depth knowledge of support and relationship management techniques and you will be widely aware of the requirements associated with delivery of Hospitality, Accommodation and Event services. Your knowledge and skills will be contributing to help implementing the University’s strategies and standards and improving the ahs customer experience.

You will be expected to contribute to discussions about improving methods of working, to follow those methods once agreed and to document and maintain those methods so they become knowledge for staff across Computing Services and ahs.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve customer experience and continual service improvement, Computing Services are implementing policies and procedures based on the ITIL framework while ahs operate under ISO9001 and ISO14001. Knowledge and experience of working in such frameworks would be advantageous.
