Research Assistant (0.75 FTE) 'Engaging Black and Minority Ethnic Women in Cancer Screening'

This 16 month part-time (0.75 FTE) position is to take forward research funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research to increase the uptake of Bradford women from black and minority ethnic communities attending cancer screening for cervical, breast and bowel cancer. The purpose of the project is to develop robust interventions that can be used to overcome barriers to this community engaging with cancer screening and we envisage the post holder will contribute to managing the project.

The postholder will work as part of the research team and will be based within the Faculty of Health Studies. You will work collaboratively with a group of researchers within Health Studies, Life Sciences and external collaborating organisations; GP surgeries, pharmacies and community organisations. You will be enthusiastic and committed to the development of high-quality research. You will also be able to demonstrate very good communication and team-working abilities.
