PhD-Level Cognitive Scientist

Cambridge Cognition Ltd

Cambridge Cognition is an innovative science and technology company dedicated to enhancing cognitive wellbeing throughout life, by enabling better detection and treatment of cognitive impairment. Our world class science is supported by more than 1800 publications and continuing development working alongside leaders in the field.

The CANTAB cognitive testing system is used by the pharmaceutical industry in developing drugs to treat CNS and non-CNS disorders, particularly dementia, ADHD, and schizophrenia. Our scientific team provides consultancy to pharmaceutical companies on all aspects of cognitive study design and interpretation. Typically this involves recommendations regarding the cognitive features of different disorders, the likely psychopharmacological effects of investigational compounds, and the statistical and psychometric considerations of cognitive assessment in clinical trials.

Due to the rapid expansion of our clinical trials business we wish to recruit a PhD-level cognitive scientist to join the team based in our Cambridge, UK office.

We are looking for an individual who has an excellent understanding of human cognitive function and/or psychopharmacology, and an interest in applying this knowledge in a commercial environment. You will need drive, adaptability, and excellent communication skills to enjoy working in our fast-paced business.  The role requires some international travel, frequent public speaking, and an ability to engage at a peer-to-peer level with experienced scientists in industry and academia.

Candidates should have a PhD in psychopharmacology, cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or a related field. Experience in commercial settings is highly desirable but not required. We are also interested to hear from experienced scientists within the industry that are keen to join Cambridge Cognition. This is a permanent position and will be remunerated according to level of experience.
