Manager of Technology Enhanced Learning Support

As part of the University’s investment in digital education, an exciting vacancy has arisen for a talented manager to lead the central Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Support Team. Reporting to the Head of Technology Enhanced Learning, you will ensure that support services remain both current and of a high standard through benchmarking, reporting, keeping abreast of developments in digital education and engaging extensively with key stakeholders. You will take responsibility for the professional development of a growing team (currently six individuals) in relation to TEL support and design. This is an opportunity to make an impact on teaching and learning in a world-class institution alongside an outstanding team of learning technologists and experts.

You will join the University at an exciting time as we work to deliver the aims of our Digital Education Strategy. You will play a key role in the implementation of a new institutional VLE, support trials of e-exams, and foster a community of TEL practice at Oxford. You will lead the scoping and design of new services to support the development and implementation of fully online and blended learning initiatives, including MOOCs.

You should be able to demonstrate the following: strong leadership and management skills; experience in developing support services for technology enhanced learning; sound knowledge of current TEL theories and approaches; and the strong interpersonal skills required to take on the responsibilities of the role.

You must be educated to at least Master’s level in education, psychology, educational technology or another relevant discipline, or have equivalent experience gained in a relevant working environment.

While this is a full-time post, we also welcome applications from candidates who wish to work part-time (minimum 30 hours/0.8 FTE) and/or flexibly.
