Salary: £22,277 to £23,933. With potential progression once in post to £27,705 a year.

We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our Business Engagement (BE) team, to take our already successful corporate partnerships to the next level whilst identifying and growing new opportunities.

Our existing corporate partnerships have had a real impact on our University. They have allowed us to support and further our research, enabling our researchers to make crucial breakthroughs, to provide an enhanced student experience through internships, and to offer academic consultancy and professional development for our partners. We now wish to grow our networks and engage further with international, national and regional business in order to double our corporate income.

To support this aim, we are looking for several enthusiastic Administration Assistants to offer the Business Engagement Partners (BEPs) some additional support in organising client meetings and in more general administration such as booking travel and entering information accurately onto our Raisers Edge database. This is a great chance to join an expanding, friendly, and focussed team making a real difference to the University!

You will be educated to at least GCSE level, including Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) and have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to schedule varied workloads to meet deadlines. Good all round IT skills, including competence with all aspects of MS Office, email, and the internet are essential.

Successful candidates will have: excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with people at all levels; a good telephone manner; and excellent written skills. The ability to work calmly, effectively and with a sense of humour, whilst delivering a high level of customer service, is vital.

Based on the University campus, you will enjoy the benefits available to University staff including access to our sporting facilities and additional holidays at Christmas and Easter. The University is situated on a beautiful 250 acre parkland campus with excellent transport links, including our own rail station.
