Research Librarian (RDM) (fixed-term)

Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to the post of Research Librarian (Research Data Management), based within the Research Support Team, LRLR. This is a great opportunity to support the University in developing a comprehensive research data management service as part of the implementation of an ambitious digital research environment strategy.

The University has developed a new Digital Research Environment Strategy and as part of this there is strategic imperative to develop a comprehensive RDM service which will deliver an environment that encourages and enhances researchers' capacity to derive value from both active and archival research data. To help enable the development of this new RDM Service, an opportunity has arisen for a Research Librarian (RDM) to assist in the delivery of specialist services, and promote a range of activities specifically to support RDM at the University. 

The Research Librarian (Research Data Management) will help to deliver specialist services in the support of research data management (RDM) at the University of Nottingham. The post holder will work with the Senior Research Librarian (RDM) to undertake a range of activities associated with RDM including engagement with researchers, awareness raising, advocacy of best practice, creating supporting materials such as web pages and responding to enquiries and requests for support.

The successful applicant will be required work in a collaborative way, across team and organisational boundaries. S/he will support the Senior Research Librarian (RDM) in building networks across the University and work in partnership with others including, the Digital Research team, Research and Innovation, and Information Services (IS) to ensure that awareness of RDM best practice is widespread and research impact through data publication maximised.

The post will be based in George Green Library, University Park.

This position is based on a permanent, fixed-term contract until 31st July 2019.
