The Market Research Team is central to the University’s ability to develop new programmes and maintain its responsiveness to the student market place at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Team provides the lead with the University’s market research function to bring a more structured approach to developing new priorities. Working within the Department of Marketing and Communications the Team ensures the strategic development of market intelligence within the University. We also work to develop reporting tools that will allow Marketing and Communications and the wider University to better understand student recruitment trends.

The Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the University’s Marketing Department. Reporting to the Market Research Officer the post holder will work closely with internal clients and colleagues in the Marketing Department to provide market research intelligence to inform, anticipate and develop the University’s student recruitment and marketing activity.

An experienced market research professional, you must demonstrate experience of multi-project working within a large organisation and within a marketing strategy. Experience of analysing and distilling both quantitative and qualitative data into compelling and informed recommendations are essential.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably with a professional market research qualification, you will be an excellent time manager and possess well-developed inter-personal skills as well as being proficient at statistical analysis, interpretation and report-writing. You will be articulate, enthusiastic and confident in making recommendations based on market research.

A qualification in market research would also be advantageous as would experience of report writing.
