Senior Online Learning Video Producer

Imperial College London

Campus South Kensington, London

Job Summary

Due to continuing expansion in the use of fully online learning technology at the School, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to assist us in providing high quality and professional learning design for our online and blended degree programmes.

You will be responsible for leading the media team and suite of Imperial’s pioneering online and blended programmes, managing a team of media specialists and combining your expertise in education and media to enable the team to develop innovative and effective learning experiences.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated by doing a great job, with a real sense of responsibility and fearless in the pursuit of perfection. You will be an excellent team leader with experience of managing staff to produce results in a timely manner.

Essential requirements

You will be expected to embed best practices and innovation in the media design process, provide high quality learning experiences to programmes and evaluate the success of media enhanced learning across the Business School. You will therefore need to have strong knowledge of instructional design, media technologies and an understanding of what works (and don’t work) in the online space. The role also requires experience in quality assurance to ensure all external and internal requirements are met before our programmes launch. To do this you need to be both thorough and observant, with an eye for detail.

You will largely be working on MBA, MSc and UG programmes as well as Executive Education and MOOCs delivered by the Business School and therefore knowledge of, or an interest in, the subjects taught at a Business School would be advantageous, but not essential.

Further Information

The Imperial College Business School is committed to innovation in the use of learning technologies on its programmes and all modules taught at the school now have an online component.  The School is expanding rapidly and we offer a fast paced and stimulating working environment.

More detailed information on the role and the type of person we are looking for can be found in the person specification.

Informal enquiries can be made to Mr Marc Wells, Deputy Director of the Edtech Lab.
