SCHOLAR

The SCHOLAR team comprises educational developers, software developers, educational authors and designers, professional development trainers and administrative staff in an integrated effort to produce highly commended academic content. 

The person appointed to the post will be responsible for the implementation of a new look and feel for the SCHOLAR product suite. The appointee will work closely with a web designer.

The role holder will review the relevant Scottish Government policies for schools and accessibility standards, and will ensure that the new look and feel and the supporting technologies align with those ‘double A’ standards.

The role holder will be expected to research and then recommend technologies that will streamline the delivery of the new look and feel across multiple heterogeneous online systems. In addition to developing new front end code, the role holder will show flexibility, engaging with the existing product suite and the supporting set of technologies to implement the new look and feel seamlessly across the whole product suite. Further, the role holder will support other members of the team, sharing expertise to assist in other projects as required. The role holder will assist senior management in strategic decisions by providing technical input and perspective from their area of expertise.

You will have experience of web development using javascript, html5 and css3

This role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UKVI to enable sponsorship of migrant workers.
